I occasionally perform with Yooz in Hood River, Oregon. 80s-90s pop/ rock with my friends Kevin and Jill Foley. They also have a group called Brigid’s Crossing that everyone enjoys catching live! As a side note, Kevin and I were in our first band together back in the mid 1980s in Western NY! Below, Kevin on the left, Dany (standing), Dave (front, middle), Chris (right) This photo was taken cerca 1989.

The rock opera Bloom, composed by Morgan Locklear and Dany Oakes is going strong. The storyline and songs are written. We’ve done demos for most of the songs, now I’m writing lead sheets so the musicians have a good template to use going into the studio, and/ or stage. We have poured our hearts into this and need it to be finished! Funding is the main challenge.

I’ve been teaching at Five Star Guitars for 26 years. Guitar, bass, ukulele and mandolin.
I conduct workshops and courses covering the fretboard and how to understand the guitar and practical theory. I’m a fan of using the Nashville numbering system to make it easier to assimilate large quantities of music with minimal effort! Fretboard Mastery is my course and workshop series.
I perform frequently as a solo artist and with other bands/ artists. I’m available for hire as a session musician, co-writer/ collaborator, producer and more! Just ask.
I love music and art! I love sharing my gifts with the world, and would love to do more of it! Teaching is a beautiful part of my life, and I’m grateful to have the patience and knowledge of how to consistently improve at these instruments!
I encourage people to create art everyday! Record stuff with your phone, write ideas in notebooks, make sketches, open up, dream, try, try again! Life is challenging for everyone in some ways, music and art of all kinds is a gift to ourselves and everyone around us! The main thing is not to give up!

Fretboard Mastery courses coming soon, The first is four weeks, once a week, and the next is 8 weeks. Follow the step by step guides, the video instruction and the pdf guide books and you will know your fretboard. It’s not overnight, it takes work, but you can do it!
I’ve been teaching guitar for over 30 years now, and I’ve never seen anything that lays out the strategy so clearly.
